Dr. Kam's two papers on extreme events in 2016 were accepted in the BAMS extreme event special issue in 2017 (will be published in the BAMS's October issue). One paper is focused on highly anomalous Arctic warmth in 2016 (a lead author) and record global warmth (a co-author).
Over the past three years, Dr. Kam's has been involved in the BAMS extreme event special issue about detection and attribution of recent record regional and global warmth. One of his articles was adapted by the ClimateWatch Magazine at the NOAA Climate.gov. See more.
Dr. Kam gave a seminar about California drought and pluvial risk at the IBS Center for Climate Physics located in the campus of Busan National University, South Korea.
